Dia serves Consumer Market Research professionals working as a data researcher for Forrester's Asia Pacific Consumer Technographics® product. In this role, she is responsible for survey design, data analysis, and advising clients on the adoption and use of technology products and services in Asia Pacific, particularly consumers in the emerging economies of China and India. Dia contributes to Forrester's offerings for Marketing and Strategy professionals, including market researchers and strategy professionals.
Dia joined Forrester in January 2006 and worked most recently as a senior data advisor. In that role, she helped clients in the telecom, retail, consumer electronics, PC manufacturing, and software industries with customized analysis and advanced analytics of Consumer Technographics® data.Prior to joining Forrester, Dia served as a research intern at a local NGO in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she provided support, including in-person surveying of various stakeholders, on an agricultural products marketing research project. Before that, Dia worked as a quantitative research assistant at Tufts University analyzing international survey data from the World Values Survey data set to provide support for academic publications. Prior to graduate school, Dia was a South Asia correspondent for World Press Review where she covered media reporting in Bengali and English-language newspapers and magazines in Bangladesh and India. Dia started her career as a business analyst for Lord and Taylor, a national department store chain based in New York.
Dia graduated cum laude from Barnard College, where she studied economics and philosophy. She received a master's degree in international relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, with a concentration in development economics. She has also studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
